Description
This is a creature design I made for the "Creature of the week" activity on conceptart.org. The topic was "The Ninja's companion" and the creature should be able to travel by stealth and kill silently.
My design is "The winged Leech" and the description I wrote was:
It's a flying creature in the size of a small bird. It lives on blood from other creatures. It stings it's victim in it's sleep, and then circulates it's blood throught it's own body, draining it of all nutrition. The blood is then returned to the victim, though it's now useless and the victim will soon die. Since it doesn't actually drink or store the blood, just drains it, it can "drink" massive amounts at the same time and often drains all blood in the victims body despite it's small size. Since it can drain that much from a single victim it doesn't need to feed that often wich makes it a good companion for the ninja.

Interesting concept, so they just live on the stuff in the blood and just blows it back when they're done with it? Wouldn't that require incredible precision?
The hand looks really good. If I should mention a problem with the leeches, it would be them not being creepy enough. And I suppose it's unintentional, but the flying one looks a lot like a laughing face with big waving ears, which is kind of hilarious.
